Well, where do I even begin! I am officially a slacker. My poor blog, I honestly only click on it when I feel the sudden urge to catch up with all you wonderful people, and actually, the last time I tried to remember the address I had to ask Mark...lol.
So here I am....I feel like I should catch up on what has been going on with us. We are doing well, Mark and I joke that everything is exactly the same with us as it was last year. We live in the same house, have the same great kids, have the same amount of kids (whew!), have the same jobs, same church callings, pretty much nothing is any different...:) I did think I would give a little update though, because I guarantee I am not going to get around to printing and sending a Chrismas letter!
I am enjoying my calling in the YW. It make me feel a little less old, and I just really love getting to know our girls and the other leaders. I love being in the kid's classrooms and volunteer once a week in their classes, it is so fun for me to see them interact with their friends, and so far I don't think I have embarrassed them YET! I am really loving this stage in life and feel like I need to cherish every single minute!
Mark is still working hard at Verizon, and likes it most of the time. He is, as always, loving his BYU sports. And luckily, it looks like Basketball season will be a lot more fun than football...;) He is busy being the adoring Dad of 4, and of course, providing the comic relief in our home. As they say on my favorite show, Modern Family, "ya can't have 2 fun parents." So Mark takes care of that in our home. He is also busy being the 'Winningest Man in America", and loves to win things for our family to do on the radio. Our friends keep telling us they want to take him to Vegas to pick some numbers!
Syd is a self-proclaimed Tween, but luckily shows little signs of the attitude that sometimes comes with that. She is an amazing girl and keeps up with dancing 3 nights a week, practicing piano daily, activity days, pulling straight A's , keeping up with an exhausting social schedule, and, moonlighting as my very own personal secretary. With very little nagging on my part! She is also BYU's #2 fan (after her Dad) and when asked to write what she was most grateful for listed, "Food, Football and Family" as her top 3. Mark has never been prouder. She also is the President of the BYU club at school....lol.
In the last year, Brook has changed her name and has a good majority of her school and primary classes calling her her old nickname, "Cookie". I love it. She is loving school and always has a sweet, smiley, mischevious look on her face. She has grown SO much this year, both intellectually and in stature. She is catching up with Syd quickly and they actually wear the same size shoes now! Brook has also become Cooper's favorite playmate (except Weston, he says) and I often find them laying on the floor laughing hysterically at each other. She is also loving dance and contributes to our nightly visits to the local dance studio.
What can I even write about Cooper....lol. He is just the sweetest little guy. He is growing up so quickly, and we are enjoying every minute of it. Mark and I are so grateful to be able to visit the boys section when we go to the toy store. His "Cars" obsession has slowed just enough to let him eat, drink, and sleep trains. But not Thomas, he drives me crazy. And don't even get me started on Percy...lol. His favorite thing to do now is to catch the trains that pass near us. We will sit right in front of the tracks and wave to the engineer and the engineer always waves back and blows his horn at us. Cooper also has great little friends and enjoys playing with them every chance he gets.
Her Majesty, Brynley, rules our roost in the best way possible. We all adore her and love to oooh and aahhh over all the cute little things she does. We also try not to laugh when she is naughty...;) Bryn is very into Pooh Bear and babies and anything Cooper likes. She is becoming quite an accomplished chef and will serve me meals cooked in her kitchen until I am bursting at the seams! She will also plop herself into my lap with several books and have me read each one before letting me get up. We are all quite enamored with our "Bryncess"!
It's been a great year for us and we were able to sneak away for a few getaways. In July, Mark and I got to stay at the very swanky St. Regis in Park City and enjoyed fine dining, sitting ON the stage during the OneRepublic concert, and our own personal butler! Enjoyed Bear Lake with both the Parry family and the Wilson family. In August, we took the kids back up to Park City and enjoyed the last few days of summer together. And in October, we hit up our beloved Disneyland and loved every minute. We were even able to cross off one item from my bucket list....staying at the Grand Californian hotel!
We are so grateful to have each of you in our lives....even you crazy internet stalkers....;) We just feel so extremely blessed and lucky for each of your friendships!
So now that I have a letter that probably won't get sent, let me show you the cards that I have been looking at. Just in case they don't get sent. I love when friends come over and see Bryn and Cooper's birth announcements and throw in snide little remarks about not getting one, and I just assure them that no one did!
I really love PhotoShop and enjoy making cards and invitations, but we just got a new laptop and I haven't had the time to load it onto this computer. So honestly, I have decided to make things easy on myself and order them from Shutterfly. Their Christmas Cards this year are gorgeous! I love this Christmas Photo Card! We are huge shutterfly fans and litterally have every photo taken in our 11 years together uploaded to our shutterfly account.
We have at least one Photobook for every year we have been married, one for every vacation, and have given several as gifts. We love the Desktop Calendars as gifts also! Hopefully I have made it easy enough that you will each get a card from me. Also, if you would like one, please leave me a message with your address!! As much as I despise getting Christmas cards ready they are one of my favorite parts of Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Love, Us!
p.s. I am a lifelong Shutterfly fan, but am writing to tell you about them to receive 50 free cards! If you are interested, check out their website. But hurry, I think it ends soon!!

The kids got to search for the perfect pumpkin and then cut it right off the vine. It was awesome!
